I'm going to try my hand in writing manga down in words. This particular manga is one I wrote almost entirely by myself and it's still wholly incomplete, so if I ever bother to draw out the manga, please note that it may substantially deviate from this fan fiction at times.
Saying that, those who know how I write will enjoy the long walls of text I write when I'm bored.
I have around 30% of all of the characters planned out for the series. You can see the characters on my website when I bother to update it.
Let's begin this little fiction thing.
Chapter 1
Kaoru wandered aimlessly through the streets, as if in a daze. As she neared the street's edge, a car zoomed by and she flinched. Looking around, she saw a peculiar box on the grass of the streets.
"What is this doing here...?" she thought as she went over to see it.
As she walked to it, it started shaking rapidly. Kaoru assumed that an animal was in there, so she walked slowly towards it, making sure not to startle the animal as much.
"It's okay...it's okay...I'm not going to hurt you..."
As she got to the box, without thinking, she opened the lid; suddenly, black matter oozed out of the box. As it seeped out of the ground and rose over the box, Kaoru was frightened, as a 15-year-old girl would be to see creepy black stuff defying the laws of gravity. The black matter formed a big solid bubble around the girl and the box; as she sat there, a ghostly sphere came out from the box, forming leg, arm, head; Kaoru sat astonished at the development of the spirit. The ghost enlarged himself to fit the area of the bubble, then looked at Kaoru with its blackened eyes and smiled a blackened smile.
"Hey hey! I'm out of that damned box! I can finally move around, get some fresh air, but no, now I'm stuck with you, wussy girl," the being said as he (now definitively a he) prodded his finger into Kaoru's chest; she moaned a bit while he continued.
"And yeah, the rules state that I gotta do this, so hold still, wussy girl."
The black spirit held Kaoru by her developing breasts (yes, you read that right; the ghost held her by her breasts) and sliced them off in a single stroke of his hand; as Kaoru screamed, he then emptied out the remainder of the box's content into the scars that he had formed, causing immense pain in Kaoru's entire body. He threw her across and out of the bubble as she launched into a cluster of trees, in nothing but sheer agony and pain. She laid there, crying from the pain, huddled over her now non-existent breasts, and wondering what the heck just happened when a boy came over to her. She recognized the boy from magazines and TV; the world-famous musician Dio had found her emaciated corpse-like body. She squealed a bit in embarassment as he lifted her from the ground, or attempted to lift her, at least. He gave up and opted instead to talk to her.
"Hey, girl...what's your name, kid?"
Kaoru could do nothing but sit there and cry, and Dio realized that that particular statement would go unheeded for now, so he monologued.
"So you opened the box, hm. I really hope that nothing bad happens to you--I mean other than your coconuts, sorry about that, by the way--and if you're interested, I have a house you can stay in for some time as a maid. I'll probably end up taking you there when my brothers finish sealing the spirit thing you woke up. Oh, it's not your fault, you didn't know." He looked at his watch and sighed. "And now it seems like my dinner will spoil. That's depressing in itself." He turned to Kaoru. "But, y'know, that's not the end of the world, right? We live life for a reason, and even though many people forget, it's still being done, y'know?"
Kaoru stared at him through teary eyes. "Wh-why a-are you t-telling me th-this?" she managed to stutter over the pain.
Dio looked her and thought for a second, and then said, "Well, I don't know. I rarely know half of the things I do, anyway." He laughed slightly at this, then leaned back onto a tree. "I guess it's because you can't really go back to your family, what with your newfound...I should probably shut up now, shouldn't I?"
Kaoru looked at him with a questionable look on her face, one mixed with confusion and agony, while Dio just fiddled with his long hair. Two more boys came out from the trees. The glasses-wearing one spoke to Dio, while the boy with strange hair stayed silent.
"So Dio, how's the kid?"
Dio chuckled. "You shouldn't call her a kid, y'know. She's still your age, Christian."
"Yeah, well, we're waaaaay more experienced than her, and wiser, too, so nothing else matters, yeah?"
Dio sorta broke out into song, the way he normally does when he gets an idea for a song. Christian decided to divert all attention away from Dio and walked over to Kaoru.
"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeey. You alright?"
Kaoru by this time was recovering from this traumatic experience and could speak more clearly. "Mm, fine."
"Wonderful! Fantastique! Fabuleux!" Christian told her joyously. "It's great to see you well enough to speak. When Chris went through something like that, he wouldn't speak for years! He still probably could, though. He doesn't talk very often. Right, Chris?" Christian put his arm around the spiky-haired boy, who just solemnly nodded. A really tall boy came out between the trees with the box, and Kaoru shuddered in fear of that box.
"Whoa. Whooooooa. Don't be scared. The thing's sealed in here, nothing to worry about. It sucks that we can't kill it, though. Oh well, we tried."
The big guy opted to hide it behind his back to alleviate Kaoru's fear. Dio motioned to her.
"Pick her up."
"Uh...hands are full. You can't do it?"
"Look at me. I'm like half your size, you big oaf. Do you THINK I can lift her?"
"That's a nice way of calling her fat, so yeah, probably. Go ask Chris to do it, my hands are full."
"Chris, go pick her up."
Chris walked over to her and grabbed her as a knight would a damsel in distress. (Aaron muttered, "I said ASK, not tell, you idiot brother." Dio didn't give a damn.) As a family, they walked over to their house, Chris taking the lead.
Chapter 2
After bandaging the now-unconscious girl up, Dio walked outside with his brothers. Their shelter spanned all of three acres, and the property was conveniently hidden in a forest-like area. Dio inhaled the fresh air of a summer dawn and scanned the horizons. Chris looked particularly indifferent today, as he always is; Christian and Aaron were playing around as they normally did in the morning time. Dio felt like a nap but knew otherwise. He had to be cheerful, for the sake of the newcomer. He went back inside and sat in one of the many music rooms and toyed with chords for nearly no reason at all.
Chris stared at Christian and Aaron playing their games. Aaron being young, Christian being immature, Chris supposed that they were a better match than Christian and himself. He followed Dio into the house but instead of following Dio to the music room he decided to look after the new girl, who seemed to be recovering with godspeed. He grabbed a seat and waited for the girl to awaken.
Christian, in one of his many playful roles, and Aaron, full of youth, were playing in the front lawn. Christian once mused that Dio being the oldest and Aaron being the youngest their heights should be switched (Dio is 5', and Aaron is 7') which prompted Dio to slap him in the face. While Christian reminisced, Aaron grappled him and lifted him by his neck. Christian laughed and mock-choked; Aaron tried to smile the best a person with no mouth could smile. Christian noticed that they were the only ones in the yard; the winds were still and it grew cold.
Aaron noticed the change in temperature and started walking into the house, Christian following him. They walked to the girl, who was just waking up; Chris had just stared at her head, clearly not paying attention. Christian walked up to Chris and jumped on his back; Chris wasn't amused. He was never amused. Dio had told him a story about that once, about how when Aaron was younger, Chris punched him in the face just because he "wanted to see how a face would react". Aaron felt no bad ill towards his brothers, but he was particularly curious about humankind and their methods of destroying wildlife, of which Aaron was fond of. He half-daydreamed, half-imagined the effects bringing a human girl like the one in front of him would affect the territory.
Kaoru awoke with a fright; there were two guys staring at her, one seriously, one daydreamingly, plus another guy on top of the serious one; she was definitely confused. Christian prompted a response by asking the first question.
"Hey, girl, what's your name?"
Kaoru hesitated and told him her name. The serious boy, what was his name, Chris, I think, simply grunted and the large boy, Aaron, was it?, awoke from his daydream and walked out of the room, leaving this girl with two very odd guys of the same height. Kaoru felt incredibly insecure especially because she was half-naked but was fully aware that her breasts were gone. Dio walked sluggishly into the room and fainted in the doorway. Christian went to go help him up, and Chris leaned closer to her. He poked her non-existant breasts and Kaoru shot up in pain; Chris smirked and poked her more to provoke a response. Kaoru punched him in the face and that was the end of that. Dio half-consciously walked towards her and mentioned something about sleep. Kaoru was too busy trying to figure out where she was; she realized that she was in a house, and it was spacious. Chris commented that this "was all an illusion", which not only startled her, it also made her even more confused.
"What?"
"..."
Noting that Chris had fallen silent, Kaoru decided not to pursue the subject. Instead, she focused her attention to Dio, who by then had fallen asleep on top of her. Kaoru felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable, but simultaneously enjoyed having the most famous person in the world--in the ENTIRE WORLD--sleep on her. Christian chuckled a bit and picked Dio up.
"Andupwego. C'mon, Dio, let's leave the girl alone for a bit~"
Chris by this time had diverted his attention to the window, looking out in fear. Kaoru peered out the window as well, trying to find what caught Chris's attention, when suddenly she felt somebody's hands on her neck.
Chris had started to choke her.
Kaoru grew increasingly frightened as she thought, this guy is going to kill me!! She struggled and gasped and tried to push Chris off, to no avail. She started tearing up, which apparently snapped Chris out of his rage, because Chris loosened his grip and let go of her neck. He muttered, "...Lily..." while staring at his hands and Kaoru coughed to retake oxygen.
Christian walked back into the room and saw Chris staring at his hands; he walked over to Chris.
"Hey, bro, you alright?"
"...Lily..."
Without warning, Christian headbutted Chris's face. Kaoru looked partially in shock as Chris flinched.
"Aah, right." Christian scratched his forehead. "I guess she does, sorta..."
Chris stared silently at Christian, rubbing his nose once or twice.
"What an odd family," thought Kaoru.
"Aah, by the way," replied Christian in hurried ecstacy, "you know that box you opened? Yeah? We sorta...hafta..."
Christian leaned over by Kaoru, and in the corner of her eye she could see the glisten of a knife.
"...kill you for that."
Chris headbutted Christian really hard, causing him to faint.
"Payback." Chris smiled--Kaoru noticed it was more or less an impassionate smile--as Christian fell to the ground. Chris turned his attention to Kaoru, and with a precision rivaled--no, surpassing--professional surgeons, he removed knots from her hands that weren't there; Kaoru noticed that she felt much lighter, although quite dizzy.
From the ground, Christian started laughing, first a soft chuckle, then more of a hearty laugh, and sitting up from the floor, he pointed at Chris, then at Kaoru, then simply smiled. Chris stared at him, neutral in emotion, and Kaoru stared at Christian like he was a maniac or something. (He was, but that's irrelevant to the story at this point.)
Aaron bursted in through the door, causing the door to crash on Christian's head.
"Whoops."
"That HURT, a**wipe!!" yelled Christian.
Dio groggily moved in front of the apologetic Aaron and past the complaining Christian. He looked at Chris, then at Kaoru's arms, then back at Chris.
"You undid them?"
Chris nodded.
"Makes my job easier. Hold her still."
Chris nodded and held her shoulders. Dio gently motioned his hand across Kaoru's chest.
"Mm...the recovery is progressing well."
Dio sat on the chair (for some stupid reason, there was only one chair) and studied Kaoru's body; her strikingly familar face; her moderately short black hair; her slim physique...
Approaching her breasts, Dio gently pushed his hand around it. Kaoru winced in horrible pain.
"I said hold her still."
Chris nodded and held her down on the bed. Dio stood up and feeled around, while Kaoru endured intense pain. Opening her eyes long enough to peek, Dio's feeling hand was engulfed in a vibrantly blue flame. Kaoru winced and lost sight of the flame. After five minutes of this torture, Dio stopped and Kaoru felt much more relieved, albeit sting-y.
"Alright. Senses are dulled, area's sterilized. Unfortunately," he pointed at Kaoru, "your coconuts are gone. A pity, in this society, where they're pretty much the main focus for everyone."
Kaoru really tried to focus on what he was saying, but everything was blurrier...and she felt even more dizzy...Dio was startled.
"Hey, what the...Chris! Get her...We need it NOW!"
Kaoru couldn't get the rest of this statement because she fell into a coma.
[Finally finished that damn chapter. I'll work on Chapter 3 later.] __________________________
