SALAMENCE IS NOW UBER?!?!?!? WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH SMOGON?!?!?

Well as you can see from the tittle salamence is now uber.

wide range of movepool, you have to sacrifice one poke to know how to counter it...tbh i dont like the tiers as is...they should be based on power not usage ( but its much harder to calculate tho) so i dont see why not salamance...i know good dragon gone bad...

i think smogon's definition of uber is widening a little too much...

its because people are to lazy to make a tier that works...you sort 490 odd pokemon into tiers that worked..

salamance is just getting caught up in what granchomp problem..wide spread of moves, yes easy to counter, but you have to let one of you pokemon die to find out the appropriate counter..true you can just you donphan/mamaswines (most ice type moves), but a STAB dragon dances+ dragon claw can ripp threw most things...EXAMPLE.....

your doing well with your scizor/azelf/ metagross/What ever right...as some people do....all of a sudden a salamance walks in, your quite nervous of salamance so you switch giving it the power to DD or even SUB up...(yer i have sen a few sublances) ..now sure most of you wil argue you can just attack with said pokemon...but SAY you do switch to your mamoswine/donphan...and it DD/SUBs one STAB outrage and you can say ohh crippled...or dead...if subed he may use DD within the sub...all afordable things...

If that's the case, let's send Gyara to Uber. Heck, send Kingdra there while you're at it. Or SubCMRachi. At least it gets perfect coverage with BoltBeam unlike Mence.

I'm actually okay with sending Jirachi to Uber. Not Salamence, though; most of the Pokemon on every one of my teams counter it well, and this is usually unintentional.

if we do switch to said mamo/donny/WEAVILE

Ice shard which does gain priority would over power the speed boost and most likely kill

Jirachi Is Way Pwnr Than Salamence Switch the two and i would be somewhat happy

iam just stateing a reason smogon said did it.....but sure i see your point, with gyrarados and kingdra..but then granchomp shouldn't be uber iether..i know its pwnage but also easily defeated...

they said Garchomp was moved to uber since of its ability Sand Viel + its overall base stats

Agreed , i won't mind having Jirachi go into the uber metagame since of CMsub , Boltbeam and its Iron Head STAB + Serene Grace ability , Overall great stats and etc.

Mence is in uber because it has no actual counters. It has checks, but no counters.
