You can read the article above.

Many LPers are being suspended for stupid reasons, such as one video of chuggaa's was flagged because someone claimed they owned chuggaa's voice.

This is absolute nonsense. First off, this whole WMG thing that we can't use music in our videos is a completely illogical rule (no, it doesn't violate any law ever made because it's FAIR USE), and now they're getting banned for it because they're overprotective on a "law" that doesn't even exist.

I thought that videos were reviewed by a YouTube staff after being flagged before they get deleted or accounts get suspended, but either that's not happening, or the staff are as dumb as that copyright "law". To YouTube, I say you and your WMG rules are paltry, and have gotten out of hand now.

This is why humans bother me. D:

Basically, YouTube got lazy so they made a bot system. I honestly don't think YouTube can really check every single one of the videos checked because that adds up to thousands a day. YouTube doesn't even check the flagged articles anymore, it's completely robotic. Cirrus, blame the robots.

"Fair Use is not a set of laws or rules, but a defense to copyright infringement based on the following criteria:
Purpose of the use - commercial or private
Nature of the work
Amount and substance of the portion you use compared to the entire work as a whole
Effect of the use on the the value of the original

The rumors that it is OK to use so many notes or so many bars are just not true. There is little doubt that, other than private in-home listening and playing, Fair Use of music is extremely limited.
Sound Recording Rule of Thumb:
There are NO sound recordings in the Public Domain in the USA.
(the earliest that copyright protection will expire for any sounding recording in the USA is 2067)"

Then I shall wait. When that day comes, I will steal that music and upload it to YT so they can't claim this copyright BS. And yes, I WILL have 1337 when I am 86 years old. Even if I'm dead.
